If the Government doesn’t take measures to halt abductions in the North and the East they would carry out a continuous agitation in the Parliament said TNA Parliamentarian Mawai Senathiraja.
He said so at a media briefing held yesterday (1st) at the Parliamentary complex. Parliamentarian Senathiraja said CWC, Western Province People’s Front and Upcountry People’s Front will join TNA in the agitation.

Sri Lanka plans to issue its first foreign currency-denominated bonds to raise 25 million dollars after the island obtained a sovereign rating, officials said Wednesday.
The sovereign rating will not be used as a marketing tool but the government is keen to accept any extra bids over and above the initial offer amount, the officials said.
